Eagle Eye DVR is a Surveillance Security
System that harnesses the power of Computer-based Video Recording, to
bring to the market a reliable and affordable alternative to traditional
Closed Circuit TV/VCR based Security.
Developed and built in Canada, this system offers more features and
functionality than comparable systems costing thousands of dollars more.
The system consists of four tightly integrated components.
The first component is the single piece of hardware that every standard
Eagle Eye DVR system is built around, the proprietary Eagle Eye DVR Video
Capture Card. Developed in Korea, this 32-bit PCI card processes the
complex video signals and regulates the flow of image data back into the
system.
The base model with four video inputs is shown here. Designed for
upgradeability, up to twelve special add-on connectors can quickly bring
the total number of video inputs to sixteen, giving the consumer maximum
longevity and flexibility.

The secondary component of a DVR system
comprises a specially designed computer system, a Server, built with
specific high-tech components in order to ensure stability, durability,
and upgradability. Although this computer system has much in common with
consumer level PCs, its specialized video card, hard drives and mainboard
set it apart from those found in homes and offices. The remaining
components, computer housing, ethernet card, modem, monitor, printer,
etc., are mainly off-the-shelf, but high-quality parts, deliberately
chosen for reasons that include stability, reliability, and
serviceability.
The third component of a DVR system is the security and surveillance
inputs - the sensors and cameras. While the DVR system has the ability to
adapt to legacy cameras and sensors, the DVR system was designed to
function at optimum efficiency with professional level equipment -
superior input yields superior results.
The final component is the Remote Client station. Although it is an
optional component, this aspect of the system should not be
undereastimated. A Remote Client, combined with a high-speed internet
connection, is capable of monitoring the video recordings of a DVR Server
from half a world away. It also provides a means to store video data in
another location that would not be affected by catastrophic damage to the
primary DVR Server, thereby ensuring that valuable video records are
preserved for later analysis.
The diagram below describes a simplified Eagle Eye DVR System. Cameras and
sensors provide input to the DVR Server. External devices provide output
and storage options, and connection options provide remote monitoring
alternatives. |
